11th of June 2010The City of Johannesburg’s 2010 World Cup ™ Public Viewing Area at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown was a hive of activity from 11 June-11 July, screening all the games on big screens, Entertainment was jam-packed showcasing international and local artists; Amanda Martinez; Mart'nalia; Margareth Menezes;Portela Samba Band (Brazil); Japanese free-style band; Netherlands Reggae band; Kunle Ayo (Nigeria); Dudu Mahnenga (Zimbabwe); United band (Ghana); Ntando; Mandoza; Winnie Khumalo; Diski dancers; Buchan Bollywood dancers; Electra Belly dancing; Sarah fashion show; Izintombi; Gumboot dancers to name just a few. Zanusi Brand Solutions in partnership with Scan Display were contracted by the City of Johannesburg to establish and manage the Public Viewing Area @ Mary Fitzgerald Square. Fun was had by all!
